W. Joseph Dozier Jr.
I began my legal career in 1973 as Mecklenburg County’s Assistant District Attorney. For the next six years, I developed my trial advocacy skills and became an aggressive prosecutor on behalf of crime victims in thousands of bench and jury trials. In 1979, I helped form Dozier Miller Law so I could use my skills to help victims of personal injury, wrongful death and unfair business practices.
Although I formally retired from the firm in 2015, I continue to maintain an office at the firm and gladly refer clients to my accomplished former colleagues.
