John Ziaukas, with over 30 years’ experience as a lawyer, including over 10 years on Wall Street, has been practicing law in New York and Los Angeles since 1985 and serves clients including investment advisers, commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisors, broker dealers and introducing brokers.
John Ziaukas established his private legal practice in Los Angeles in 2002, having begun his legal career in New York at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in 1985, where he practiced for over 10 years specializing in securities, commodities and asset management law in one of Wall Street’s leading law firms.
While at Willkie, Mr. Ziaukas practiced commodities and securities law in the firm’s corporate department, where his group’s clients included large international broker-dealers and FCMs, as well as some of the largest and most successful hedge fund managers in the world, as well as medium and smaller-size participants in that industry.
Since establishing his practice in Los Angeles in 2002, Mr. Ziaukas has continued to practice in the areas he first pursued in New York at Willkie, as well as several additional areas. He represents a wide variety of members of the investment industry, including registered and unregistered investment advisers, CFTC registrants (including CPOs, CTAs and IBs), as well as manufacturers, television writers, real estate developers, communications companies, insurance brokers, and high net worth individuals, among others. Mr. Ziaukas does not handle litigation for his clients.
