Indiana Workers' Compensation, Third Party, Construction Accident, Mediation & Brain Injury Lawyers

Attorneys Randy Klezmer and Nathan Maudlin are not typical workplace compensation and construction accident lawyers, and Klezmer Maudlin, PC, is not an average law firm. The attorneys and the firm they formed concentrate on one thing: helping injured workers secure the compensation they need to move forward with their lives.

We have spent more than 25 years building a law practice devoted to injured workers, and our compassionate and skilled attorneys have handled more than 30,000 workers’ compensation claims throughout Indiana. In fact, we wrote the book on Indiana workers’ compensation — literally. Our attorneys were selected by Thomson West to write the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Law and Practice Manual, which serves as a resource for other attorneys across the state who practice in this area of law.

We understand the heavy burden a workplace injury can place on a person and his or her family. Adding hospital stays, follow-up doctor visits and a pile of medical bills on top of regular household duties and expenses, especially when you are unable to work, can be overwhelming. At Klezmer Maudlin, PC, our workplace injury attorneys have helped many people who have felt trapped in this type of situation, and we are committed to helping many more. If you are suffering from a workplace injury and need help fighting for the compensation you deserve, contact our experienced attorneys today to discuss how we may be able to assist you. The Klezmer Maudlin Approach
Our attorneys and staff truly treat each client like family. We know that your workplace injury is probably the most important thing you are dealing with right now, and we want you to know that it is a top priority for us, as well. That’s why when you contact our Indiana workplace injury law firm, you can expect to speak with an attorney directly. Even if our attorneys are tied up in court, one of our experienced legal staff members will take detailed notes about your case so our lawyers can get back to you promptly and be prepared to discuss what’s on your mind. Just like we would with our own family members, we will be straightforward with you about your case. If you have suffered a minor injury and just need help filing a claim, that is what we’ll do. However, if you are coping with a life-altering injury and are concerned about butting heads with your employer, our attorneys will do everything in our power to make sure your rights are protected and that you are taken care of. After all, that is what we would do for our family.

Our Practice Areas
When you look at our practice areas, you’ll notice a single theme: Every case we take is about helping workers after they have been hurt on the job. Our experienced attorneys handle:

Workers’ Compensation Claims
Construction Accidents
Work-Related Car Accidents
Traumatic Brain Injury
Third-Party Lawsuits (to recover damages beyond a workers’ compensation claim)
Mediation Services
At Klezmer Maudlin, PC, we choose to keep a narrow focus because every workplace injury case is different. So in order to provide superior representation for our clients, our firm concentrates only on these types of cases.

Randy Klezmer has devoted his entire legal career to helping people who have been injured in the workplace and elsewhere achieve the compensation they deserve.

A native Hoosier, Klezmer created the firm after receiving his J.D. from McKinney School of Law, in 1992. From the beginning, he has focused his practice largely on workers’ compensation cases, but also has a significant concentration on personal injury cases. Whether it’s a workers comp claim or personal injury lawsuit, Klezmer is committed to the belief that clients deserve the firm’s fullest personal attention. To that end, he has built a large and organized staff that is responsive to client needs and keeps them apprised of developments with their cases.

He also believes in a persistent approach in dealing with insurance companies, employers, and opposing counsel. “We’re pretty aggressive at moving cases along,” he says. “We like to pester insurance companies and defense attorneys to get the answers that we need.”

It’s a strategy that has produced notable results.

Recently, Klezmer negotiated a $3.75 million settlement on behalf of a client who was catastrophically injured in a workplace fall from an elevated work platform after a co-worker operating the same type of machine struck her. Klezmer was able to show that the co-worker was using medication that should not have been used while operating heavy machinery and was not warned of it by the doctor who prescribed it.

Another recent settlement resulted in a $1.8 million resolution on behalf of a client who was injured in an automobile accident on the way to work. While significant outcomes like these are satisfying, Klezmer also takes pride in helping people when no money is involved.

“We’ll help people whether they hire us or not,” he says. “On a daily basis, I tell people that they don’t need us but we’re here if they have questions. If we do take the case and they’ve already been offered money, we will agree to not charge them unless we get more money.” Klezmer believes that client service should be more than just a catchphrase. He believes it is a commitment.

“Our employees genuinely care about our clients,” he says. “They want to help them and respond to their needs. We are compassionate. We feel for our clients and do everything we can for them.”  Klezmer also believes that commitment to the community extends beyond his own, and the firm’s, daily operations. Klezmer Maudlin is active in supporting the Brain Injury Association of Indiana and the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana Sports Program, as well as various legal organizations.

In his limited personal time, he enjoys golf, snow skiing, and spending time with his family.
