Dallas Estate Planning & Probate Law Firm

Firm History
Twin brothers, Patrick and Paul Wright, together founded The Wright Firm, L.L.P. They started with a simple tenet: individual client needs would be the focus of the practice. Each case and each client are different, so at The Wright Firm, LLP, we tailor our work to suit your requirements. Put simply, we will do what it takes to help you resolve your legal problems: as the client, you are the Firm’s first priority.

Our attorneys are synonymous with respect, both in the legal community and more importantly, with our individual clients. At The Wright Firm, LLP, we choose to utilize a team approach, meaning you don’t simply hire an attorney—you hire the entire firm. This approach engages all of our staff, so our clients get the benefit of our different backgrounds and experiences. Our team approach began at the founding of the Firm and is based upon the unique relationship of our founding partners: twin brothers Paul and Patrick Wright.

The dedication of our attorneys and staff are the foundation for our Firm’s strong commitment to the DFW Metroplex. We consider it a part of our professional responsibility to be active in service to the community around us. It is a goal of the Firm to make a positive difference for the public good and to give back to our communities. The Code of Professional Responsibility of the American Bar Association holds the principles that “the basic responsibility for providing legal services for those unable to pay ultimately rests upon the individual lawyer” and that “every lawyer regardless of professional prominence or professional workload should find time to participate in serving the disadvantaged.” We strive to live up to these principles and our attorneys are committed to regularly engage in a varied community, religious and civic service.

Patrick Wright founded The Wright Firm, L.L.P. with his twin brother Paul Wright. Patrick is a licensed attorney and is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has also been trained in collaborative law, and is a certified Family Law Mediator. Patrick attended South Texas College of Law, where he received his J.D. Prior to this, Patrick attended the University of North Texas and obtained a degree in Political Science. He has been named a Super Lawyer since 2008 and has been named to the 2015 Best Lawyers in America list.

Before beginning his family law practice, Patrick served as the City Attorney for the City of Krum, Texas, a position he held for approximately eight years. He has also served as the City Prosecutor for the City of Corinth, Texas and as the City Attorney for the City of Hackberry, Texas. Patrick is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas and is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas.

Patrick is a bit of a “techie”. While the legal profession is often found lagging behind technology trends, Patrick seeks to capitalize on new innovations: innovations that, if properly implemented, ease many client stresses that are common during any legal process. As a father of two and a husband, Patrick uniquely appreciates the challenges that modern families face. If he isn’t fighting for you in the courtroom, Patrick can likely be found cheering on his girls at their volleyball games.
